THE ULTIMATE TOURING BIKE! SURLY'S LONG HAUL TRUCKER

Check out Dan's new ride. A Surly Long Haul Trucker that he plans on using to commute year-round back and forth to work. This thing is ready for the long haul with fenders, rack, panniers, etc.. One way trip to work is 15 miles! 150 miles per week. That's 7,800 miles per year. Way to go Dan! Enjoy!!

Trek Dirt Demo @ SMP has been cancelled

The Trek Demo that was scheduled tomorrow at Shawnee Mission Park has been canceled. The Demo Truck will try to find it's way here to the Trek Store. If the weather is permitting we will try to have the bikes available to ride.

It looks like the weather isn't going to cooperate for the ride portion of tonights evening. Just to be safe and stay healthy the ride will be canceled. The festivities in the store are still on and will start at 7:30 p.m. Women's clothing will be 20% off and all WSD bikes will be on sale. Food and drink will be provided. Spring Super Sale This Weekend | March 26-30

Dave got in on the action with his new Madone 5.5 with a sweet black, white, and yellow Criterium color scheme with full Sram RED and Bontrager Race wheels. This new project one website is fantastic. Train with Power at the Trek Store of Kansas City

Training With Power!

Join Source Endurance at Trek Bicycle Store of Kansas City Thursday March 19^th from 7:30-8:30 PM for an evening of fun while learning how to maximize the benefits of training with power. Source Endurance’s Midwest Endurance Consultant Adam Mills will cover the basics of how to train with a powermeter to make your workouts efficient and progressive. Adam will use real-world examples of training files from current athletes to show how it’s done.

After the presentation, Adam and Source Endurance marketing manager Joseph LaFico will be on hand for Q&A and good ole’ fashion social hour complete with food and beverages.

ANOTHER!!!! P1 MADONE GONE!!!

We're up to it again. Another happy Project 1 Madone customer. This time Andrew picked up a 5.2 in the Black/Blue color with blue housings to match the pinstriping. Outfitted with a full Sram Force kit, Bontrager Race X Lite wheels, XXX Blade bar, Carbon cages, and Dura-Ace pedals. It's a 58cm and weighs in at a scant 16.4 lbs. That's with cages, pedals, saddle bag, and polar computer!! One sweet ride. Enjoy Andrew.

PROJECT 1 MADONES ARE FLYING OUT THE DOORS!!!

Another sweet Project One bike out the door! Check out Lane's new P1 Madone 5.2. He went with a signature series paint scheme Silver on Silver with red highlights. Looks awesome in person!! Nice mix of parts, mostly Sram Rival with Bontrager Speed Limit brakes, Race Lite wheels, and Speedplay pedals. Topped it of with a XXX Lite Stem. Bike weighed in just under 17lbs. Very nice for a 58cm. Come in let us help you pick out your dream ride!

WINTER MAINTENANCE CLINICS

The Trek Store of Kansas City is finally starting up their winter maintenance clinics. We ask for a $10 deposit to hold your spot in class which will be credited to towards any purchase following completion of the clinic.

This year we will be offering three different classes;
Basic Maintenance - Includes pre-, during and post- ride tips on cleaning, lubrication and basic roadside repairs.
Women's Only - The first Women's Only class will cover the same topics as the Basic class, while the second will follow the Advanced class outline.
Advanced Maintenance - This class will cover drivetrain and brake adjustments for road and mountain bikes.

Chris Wallace World Championship Travel Fun!

Congratulations to KCCX/VERGE rider Chris Wallace for being selected as a member of the 2009 Junior World Championships Team in Hoogerheide, Holland. After a successful inaugural Euro-Cross Camp, Chris will head back to Europe on January 23rd to prepare for Worlds. This is very prestigious honor for any rider. Many work their entire life to make the Worlds team and never accomplish their goal. Chris is fortunate enough to have reached this goal at a very young age. In an effort to help with the travel expenses we ask the cycling community to pitch in to help a local rider make a dream come true.
